Perhaps the holiest logo ever.

Oct 21st by Jon

Brandon M. created this based on the post today and I think it scored 942 points. My favorite part might be the worship eagle high fiving the dove.

I am absolutely speechless. That is the coolest logo I have ever seen. Can I get that on a bumper sticker? Or a XXXXL t-shirt?

Jan Oct 21, 2008

My favorite is the use of the fire and brimstone “A” in Baptist!

Baby Tunnel Exodus Oct 21, 2008

Give that man some Skittles!!

Wow. I better get on the horn to my church office and get our logo tricked out ASAP.

Blessings, Whitney

Jeff Smith Oct 21, 2008

So, is the logo copywritted yet? I mean can our church use it? That would be GREAT!

Nick the Geek Oct 21, 2008

totally forgot the Frisbee, he could have pushed this over a thousand if he really tried. Seriously what would Jesus do, take this back and push the concept till it is complete.

Seriously it is awesome in its logoness. I think I’ll apply the holy ctrl^c and make this logo my own. :)

ericbrown07 Oct 21, 2008

there is absolutely no way that the idea to spend my afternoon creating a super holy logo even potentially crossed my mind…
and there is absolutely no way i think this is one of the most awesome things i have ever seen…

no way, i tell ya…

André Oct 21, 2008

I just found my church. Forget the doctrine, I just care that the logo scores high on the SCL logo meter!

Eli Oct 21, 2008

He deserves points for the “John 3:16 Holiness Baptist Church” name alone.

JMR Oct 21, 2008

WOW, what a cool logo. I bet there are no non-Christians at that church. As they drive through the gate, they are saved by simply seeing the gospel message laid out in the logo :-)

Beautiful Intellectual Oct 21, 2008

We’re going through a “re-branding” at our church at the minute…I sent your blog yesterday to the Press Officer…I think this might be the persuasion she needs to put it forward to the steering group :p

Milan Ford Oct 21, 2008

wow. that’s about all i can say.

rachel Oct 21, 2008

four words:

grapic designers’ worst nightmare.

(but totally awesome.)

JennyM Oct 21, 2008

Umm, the dove is NOT hi-5′ing the worship eagle, he is smacking him away so as not to invade his holy air space.
No blending there.

Christy Oct 21, 2008

most impressive

Gretchen Oct 21, 2008

I think it would have been “holier” if the lion had been laying down w/ the lamb. Or if it had a still photo from Braveheart or Facing the Giants.
Just sayin’.

James Laws Oct 21, 2008

I wanted to design a logo with all of the elements but after I gave it some thought I realized that a logo that holy might not even be able to be gazed upon.

Stacy from Louisville Oct 21, 2008

Can I get that in a ringer tee, please?

MamaSue Oct 21, 2008

Just add The VBS Jesus playing Frisbee golf with Psalty. Now it’s perfection.

Ann Oct 21, 2008

That was… pretty awesome. If I ever start a church, I know who to hire to make me an “eye- catching” logo… and why stop there? Obviously, he should design the building too.

Amaaazing.

Henry Zonio Oct 21, 2008

I love that it looks like it was put together on Print Shop on a Commodore 64 and printed on banner mode on a colour dot matrix printer!

syro Oct 21, 2008

i couldn’t quite put my finger on how to describe the awesomeness of that logo.. and then henry did it for me.

i laughed so hard i cried… and then i peed my pants a little.

was that an overshare?

but seriously.. paint shop on a commodore 64.. absolutely awesome.

Brandon Moore Oct 21, 2008

prodigal john, thanks for the logo post! maybe i can pick up some freelance design work on the side… ;)

matt - factor 1 Oct 21, 2008

im actually disappointed here. The lion and the lamb are not playing frisbee. Had they been doing so, i’d have already ordered the t-shirt.

Anonymous Oct 21, 2008

Matt, I think the Lion and the Lamb are playing Frisbee. Isn’t that what the dot over the I is?

3girlsmom Oct 21, 2008

The little lion is actually a clip art design I see on a lot of my sorority’s merchandise.
A little clash of two worlds, huh?

Anonymous Oct 21, 2008

Would it have been wrong to have the Lion and the Lamb playing frisbee with the crown of thorns, or is it not considered frisbee if it isn’t a solid disk?

vida Oct 22, 2008

brilliant. perhaps if the addition of the Alpha and Omega would push it past a thousand. good work.

Carlie Oct 22, 2008

that has to be the coolest thing ive seen in a long time

sticky Oct 22, 2008

great…but does it hold up in black and white?

Ed Oct 22, 2008

Ahhh…. but based on the logo, if this church started it’s own Christian School, what would their Mascot and Motto be??

the displaced canuck Oct 22, 2008

I thought it said “Holiest Baptist Church” at first. Still totally awesome though.

becomingthechurch Oct 22, 2008

bear cavalry? I’d like to think that’s how it happened in 2 Kings.

carol ~ i throw like a girl Oct 22, 2008

Awesome!

angela Oct 24, 2008

love the lion just chillin’ at the top!

Su Oct 28, 2008

OMGosh! I can’t stop laughing! Stop it! Stop it!
HAHAHAHAHA!

Barabbas318 Jun 7, 2009

Can we please talk about the total epic-ness of the bear calvary? Total win!!!
