#1 is the biggest rule we have at our youth group! On a missions trip to Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina (from Massachusetts) our bus broke down several times! The final time (before we got a new, 'improved' bus) in the middle of nowhere, alabama at a rest stop at 1am in the middle of a tornado warning! The people watching the rest area that night were not happy to see a bus full of 40 teenagers and 10 adults swarm out of the bus to stay the night...

at the end of the week we were provided with a new bus, which caught on fire during the test run...! luckily, the trip home was relatively uneventful, besides when all the teens decided to buy 5 hour energy shots halfway through!

I can top baby food as far as disgusting-food-game-things go. I can recall four of the more extreme incidents involving a former youth group.

1) At one of the first youth group events I ever attended (I was twelve) a small number of unknowing volunteers were made to beat each other with raw fish.
2) The worst offenses all occur at this church's summer youth camp. This past summer we were blind folded and squirted with ketchup and mustard as we walked through copious amounts of cold oatmeal.
3) A couple of years ago a kid chugged almost an entire bottle of syrup for a game and literally almost went into a sugar coma.
4) The same day as the syrup incident they also made kids chug glasses of whole milk before running half a mile uphill.

... I go to a different church now :D

A bonfire and corny-song-fest MUST occur at least once on a youth camp, preferably waaay too late in the night, and nearing the end of the camp.

Know what there is a universally agreed upon definition of? A hug.

Know what it is not? A side hug.

The perverts are the ones who are so sexually deviant that they see sexual meaning in literally everything. A perfect example of this is demonizing simply hugs that we have enjoyed our entire lives.

I was offended by the word "Gob." I know a lot of atheists distort the name of God to "Gob," and Jesus to "Jeebus." Glad you're not one of them!

My Three Rules as a Youth Pastor are affectionately known as "The Three D's"

1. Don't DIE (self explanatory)
2. This in not a DATE (same as no purpling, etc)
3. Don't do anything DUMB (encompasses all other acts of stupidity)

We did the same thing, but had a great finale... the Fire Dept showed up with their ladder truck, hoisted a shopping cart full of pumpkins 150 ft in the air and dumped them. It was awesome.
