Autotuner & Stuff Christians Like

Jan 15th by Jon

If you haven’t had a chance to buy the Stuff Christians Like book yet, you should. Why? Because it’s only $8.76 and we’re doing some ridiculous things with it. Today, I get to share Zondervan’s very first foray into AutoTune, that electric voice tuning that T-Pain and Kanye have made famous. (Buy theStuff Christians Like book today)

Think Rob Bell is doing that? Donald Miller? Rick Warren? Nope. Stuff Christians Like is.

Here’s the remix to the Deep V-Neck Syndrome Post. (Big shout out to the audio genius Brad Hill.)

I always wondered what The Voice of SCL sounded like. And now I still don't know….really.

One of the worst autotunes I've heard. There are hundreds of funnier ones out there.

Steve – That was a serious warning about V necks. It wasn't intended to be funny so I completely agree with you that there are hundreds of funnier videos out there. Are there hundreds of serious videos about v-necks? Doubtful.

You've taken blogging to the next level. Now what do the rest of us poor bloggers do? Do we all run out and get autotune to keep up with Jon? I refuse to bow to the pressure.

Hee-larious! Love it.

We also caught your act in Michigan (GR) on Wednesday morning. You gave an AWESOME and INSPIRING performance. I wish you great success with your new book, "Stuff Christians Like." God is working through you, and it is a blessing for everyone who gets to hear or read what you have to say. Take care and be BLESSED!

This is great and hilariously funny! However, Kanye and T-Pain don't deserve the credit for this "sound."

I'm "old school," and a band called "Zapp" (a.k.a. "Zapp & Roger") actually perfected this sound process (or a very similar-sounding one) more than 25 years ago, in the 1980's. The band's lead singer, Roger Troutman, made the electric voice tuning or "synthesized voice" famous (using some type of plastic tube for the mouth) and quite popular in songs like, "Computer Love," "More Bounce to the Ounce," "Dance Floor," "Heartbreaker," and the list goes on and on. You can listen to these songs to hear the "sound" on the Amazon website at the following link: http://www.amazon.com/Zapp-Roger-All-Greatest-Hit... Let me know what you think about the "old school" electric voice tuning.

Autotune is of the devil and must be banished from the face of the earth! It is the tool of the Anti-Christ!

That was awesome!!!!
