Knowing where not to be during the rapture.

I have friends who think about the rapture and where they are going to be when it happens. We’ll be at a bowling alley or a night club and they’ll just kind of lean over and whisper, “Ugh, I wouldn’t want to be here when the rapture comes.” A girl named Sandra said that when she was in youth group they used to keep a mental list of “rapture proof buildings,” places that the rapture would not effect. I think that’s funny but I also think it reveals something about our faith. We want to believe his love and grace is unconditional but it is so hard not to put little, tiny, not so important conditions on what he thinks about us. But that’s wrong. And the best example of that is the thief on the cross that Christ forgives. He didn’t have time to go to seminary or learn some verses or put a Jesus fish on the back of his Accord, or whatever the Hebrew equivalent was back in the day. He decided to side with Jesus and Jesus said that was enough. So today, know that wherever you are, God is not watching to make sure you don’t go inside a rapture proof building.
