A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to attend Good Experience Live, a conference in New York. Good Experience Live or GEL is basically a creative free for all where different people from around the world get together and discuss the best ways to create good experiences. Overall, it was a pretty amazing conference.
In the Google presentation, we were told by one of their key executives that they currently have something like “35 offices in 29 countries.” It was not a statement of arrogance, just a sentence used to support the notion that they had grown as a company.
I don’t think there is anything wrong with being mega. I attend a mega church and love it and feel fortunate to have it so close to my house. I should have done a better job explaining that initially. I just think it’s dangerous when we start believing that if we don’t all get mega we have failed.
