(The contest is closed. Thanks for entering.)
A few weeks ago I wrote about having dinner with a buddy named Andrew Morgan. He and his friend Matt have a ministry called Broken Voices and last year they drove around the country making a documentary called “Anthem.” In it they chronicle the stories of people that are leaning hard into life with bravery and fear and creativity and doubt and everything else that comes with living the story God tells through our lives.
I loved the documentary and would love for you to see it too. Andrew said I could give away 3 DVDs to readers. So today’s comment contest is simple, “What is your anthem?”
I’ll go first.
I was going to say the song “The Adventure” by Angels & Airwaves because the tidal wave repeat of the lyric, “I cannot live, I can’t breathe unless you do this with me” over and over again is stunning.
But then my brother sent me a video clip of the Jeff Johnson band playing the song, “Glorious Day.” The production values of the clip aren’t fantastic, but the gradual rise of the crowd as the song builds is beautiful and it’s a great song. (The video is below)
So that’s my anthem right now. Glorious Day. What’s yours? It can be a Bible verse, a line of poetry, a painting, a photo of your kids, a song, anything.
What would you say is the anthem of your life right now?
(Comment until Thursday, April 23rd and I’ll pick three winners that Andrew will send a copy of the Anthem DVD to.)
